Trevellas
January 2012
For this exciting and very bespoke project we were asked by our clients Michelle and Alan Williams to design and produce a very different timber frame option.
They wanted to have the look of an Oak built frame without having the consideration of movement taking place. This method saved the clients from having to use two separate companies during the build.
We designed a standard frame with a U value of 0.19 W/mk2 and installed a hand cut oak frame internally once the timber frame was complete. This gave the flexibility of placing the oak A frames where the client wanted rather than having to consider structural requirements.
All the oak joints were hand crafted On Site giving this frame a very bespoke look and overall cutting the project costs considerably, but still giving the look of an Oak structural frame. Please contact us for more information on this build method.
We also installed all of the facia boards and cladding on this self build.
We started this timber frame in October 2011 and the works were completed by the end of January 2012.
